No. A broken spring means the door's counterbalance system has failed. The door becomes extremely heavy and the opener has to work far beyond its design limits, which can burn out the motor or cause the door to drop suddenly. Don't force it open. Call Zach for same-day spring replacement.
It depends on the job. A small repair can take 20 minutes, and a full door installation can take most of a day, including removing the old door, setting the springs and testing everything. Zach works quickly and doesn't waste your time, but he doesn't cut corners either.
