Zach Wallace didn't start a garage door company because it was easy. He started it because he'd spent over 16 years in the field watching homeowners get overcharged, misled, and stuck with sloppy work — and he knew he could do better.
With more than 16 years of hands-on experience across residential and commercial garage door systems, Zach has tackled everything from basic spring replacements to full-scale industrial door installations requiring scissor lifts and steel-reinforced tracks. He's the kind of technician who reads the problem before he picks up a tool, and he doesn't leave a job until it's operating exactly as it should.
In 2024, Zach launched American Standard Garage Door out of the Kansas City Metro with a simple premise: be the contractor you'd actually want showing up at your house. Honest pricing. Reliable scheduling. No shortcuts. No subcontractors. And a level of precision that only comes from someone who genuinely cares about the craft.
Outside of work, Zach is a husband to Meghan, a father of two, and a Kansas City local who hunts, works hard, and believes that doing the right thing is just the standard — not the exception.
